I Dream of Jeannie - Barbara Eden's Belly Button Exposed

Barbara Eden's belly button has appeared in episodes of I Dream of Jeannie. According to her autobiography, she writes about the controversy surrounding her navel and how no one noticed that her belly button would suddenly appear from below the high waistband when she raised her arms.

"I mean, every time I raised my arms on the show, my navel popped out, but clearly, neither the viewers nor the cencors had ever noticed."

Also, in the November 2012 issue of 435 Magazine (Kansas City), Kimberly Winter Stern mentions about how Barbara Eden's belly button made brief appearances in the fourth season.

“Your wish is my command!”

Although Eden doesn’t speak that line today, the Eden in my memory does — the one on “I Dream of Jeannie” dressed in bubblegum-pink harem pants that covered her navel (her belly button did make a couple of controversial cameos during Season 4) and a tiny pink top that showed just enough cleavage during a very conservative television era (NBC, the network on which the show appeared, had a so-called “No-Navel Edict”).
